1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RASPT ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RASPT is a clipboard synchronization service that allows you to sync clipboard content across multiple devices. The Service includes web, desktop, and mobile applications.

3. AI Processing of Your Content

By using RASPT, you acknowledge and consent that your clipboard content (text, images, URLs, and files) may be processed by artificial intelligence systems to provide enhanced features. These AI-powered features include:

Optical Character Recognition (OCR): Extracting text from images you copy
Smart Tagging: Automatically categorizing your content using AI analysis
Auto-Summarization: Generating summaries of long text content
URL Metadata Extraction: Fetching titles, descriptions, and previews for links

Important: When AI features are enabled, your clipboard content is sent to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) for processing. These providers may temporarily process your data according to their own privacy policies. You can disable any or all AI features in your account settings at any time.

Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you copy and sync through the Service. Do not copy sensitive information (passwords, financial data, personal identification numbers, confidential business information) if you have AI processing features enabled, as this content will be sent to third-party AI providers.

4. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on the rights of others
Transmit malicious code or harmful content
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
Upload or sync content that you do not have the right to share
Use the Service to process illegal or prohibited content

6. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of all content you sync through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

Store and transmit your content to provide the synchronization service
Process your content through AI systems when you have enabled AI features
Share your content with third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) for processing when AI features are enabled
Generate and store derivative data (tags, summaries, extracted text) from AI processing

This license terminates when you delete your content or account.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

The accuracy of AI-generated content (tags, summaries, OCR text)
Uninterrupted or error-free service availability
That the Service will meet your specific requirements
The security of data transmitted to third-party AI providers

8. Subscription and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RASPT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages arising from AI processing errors or inaccuracies
Unauthorized access to or disclosure of your content
Actions of third-party AI providers or service providers
Data breaches, security incidents, or unauthorized access by third parties
Any damages resulting from the content you choose to sync or process

11. Data Security and Breach Disclaimer

Important Security Notice

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure. You use this Service at your own risk.

You acknowledge and agree that:

No data transmission or storage system is 100% secure
RASPT is not responsible for any data breaches, security incidents, or unauthorized access to your data, whether caused by hackers, system failures, or any other means
You are solely responsible for the content you choose to sync through the Service
You assume all risks associated with storing and transmitting your clipboard content
RASPT shall not be liable for any damages arising from data theft, loss, or unauthorized disclosure
Third-party services (including AI providers) have their own security practices over which we have no control

Your responsibility: Do not sync sensitive, confidential, or valuable information through the Service. If you choose to do so, you accept full responsibility for any consequences.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RASPT, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
The content you sync, store, or process through the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Any claim that your content caused damage to a third party

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Clipboard Content

Your clipboard content is the core data we process. This includes:

Text, images, URLs, and files you copy and sync
Metadata such as timestamps, content type, and source device
AI-generated derivatives: tags, categories, summaries, and extracted text (OCR)

Usage Information

Device information and identifiers
App usage patterns and feature interactions
Error logs and diagnostic data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain the clipboard sync service across your devices
Send important notifications about your account and synced items
Improve our services and develop new features
Ensure security and prevent fraud

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Data Sharing

Important: AI Data Processing Notice

When you enable AI features, your clipboard content is sent to third-party AI providers for processing. Please read this section carefully.

When AI features are enabled, your clipboard content (text, images, URLs) is transmitted to and processed by third-party artificial intelligence providers:

Anthropic (Claude): For smart tagging, summarization, and content analysis
OpenAI: For OCR, smart tagging, and text processing

What this means for your data:

Your content is transmitted over encrypted connections to AI providers
AI providers may temporarily store your content for processing (typically deleted within 30 days)
AI providers have their own privacy policies that govern their handling of your data
We do not control how AI providers use data beyond providing our service

You can control AI processing: All AI features can be individually enabled or disabled in your account settings. When disabled, your content is NOT sent to any AI provider.

AI Features and Their Data Usage:

Auto-OCR: Images are sent to AI to extract text
Smart Tagging: Text and image content is analyzed to generate category tags
Auto-Summarize: Long text content is sent to AI to generate summaries
URL Metadata: URLs are fetched to retrieve page titles and descriptions (no AI involved)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your clipboard content is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for data storage, which provides:

Encryption at rest and in transit (AES-256)
Row-level security for data isolation between users
Regular security audits and compliance certifications
Data centers in secure, SOC 2 compliant facilities

5. Data Retention

We retain your clipboard content based on your subscription plan and settings. You can delete individual items or your entire account at any time. When you delete content, it is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Note: Data that has already been sent to AI providers for processing is subject to their retention policies, which we do not control.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may receive your data:

Supabase: Database storage and user authentication
Anthropic: AI processing for smart tagging and summarization (when enabled)
OpenAI: AI processing for OCR and content analysis (when enabled)
Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
Cloud Storage: For image and file storage

7. Your Rights and Controls

You have the right to:

Access your personal data stored in our systems
Correct inaccurate information in your profile
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your clipboard data
Disable AI processing features at any time

8. Sensitive Information Warning

Do Not Sync Sensitive Data

We strongly advise against copying or syncing sensitive information through RASPT, especially when AI features are enabled.

Do not use RASPT to sync:

Passwords, API keys, or authentication tokens
Financial information (credit card numbers, bank accounts)
Personal identification numbers (SSN, passport numbers)
Medical or health records
Confidential business information or trade secrets
Information subject to legal privilege

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
